NOG Koffie was born in Stellenbosch, South Africa — between the mountains, the vines, and the kind of morning nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Where it started

It did not start in a boardroom. It started in Stellenbosch, with a cart, a kettle, and a handful of people who kept saying: one more.

The town is small enough that you know the people pouring your coffee, and big enough that there is always someone new to pour it for. That is where the name comes from.

The name

“Nog een” — one more — is what you say when you actually mean: stay a bit longer. That is the whole brand in two words, and it is why the coffee is made so there is always room for another cup.

The beans

We buy small and roast soon after. That is not connoisseurship for its own sake — it is the only way to get a bag to someone while it still smells of something.

The place

All of it happens here. Roasted locally, packed locally, shipped locally, by people whose names would fit on the bag.
